The road surface at the entrance to The Ridges (not to be confuse with The Ridges Farm) has become level, due to repeated resurfacing, with the top of the drop level l kerbs installed at the top of the drive to the house. This means that flood water does not go down the carriage way to a gully then to the brook but down the drive carrying with it much of the surface material with it.
