Over grown verges

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14216131.

The verges down this road and surrounding lanes are very over grown. Due to current weather this poses a fire risk as it is very dry and could easily catch light. The large brambles and woody plants that are growing into the road are causing considerable damage to car paint work.

  • We have looked into this issue and can advise that the work required will be picked up as part of routine maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    We will continue to undertake routine inspections in the meantime, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.

    This report will now be closed. This does not mean that the issue on the ground has been resolved. We do not keep reports open that we have a plan in place to remedy.
