Gully not draining surface water

Reported via desktop in the Standing water on the highway category anonymously at 10:15, Thursday 11 June 2026

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14213143.

Gully is not draining water, which then floods the road. In times of heavy rain, water bubbles up OUT of the gully causing even more flooding on road

  • It appears that unfortunately the wrong gulley has been cleaned. The one on the south side of the road has been cleaned, whereas the one on the north, from which water was seen coming out, has not. But not only that, the fact that water was coming out of the gulley on the north of the road suggests that there is a blockage downstream of it
