Fence at side of grid has been demolished by vehicles.

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14212559.

The grid is too small for the heavy vehicles (lorries and tractors) which use this road to get from Stiperstones to Bridges. The fence which separates the grid from its adjoining gate has been severely damaged for some time (2 years or more) but has recently become worse. This is part of a Ride UK Route and the adjoining gate is used by anyone who cannot use the grid (eg horses & riders). The broken fence alongside the grid needs urgent attention as it is currently blocking the gate on this right of way making it potentially dangerous to negotiate. Local users have attempted to do a temporary repair but lack the equipment as two of the posts have been broken off at ground level within their holders. The fence needs to be repaired asap so the gate can be used safely. Ideally, in the long term the grid itself needs to be wider so the heavy vehicles can pass over it without causing damage to the adjoining fence & gate.
