Leaf litter and overgrown trees

Reported via Android in the Tree/ grass/ shrub problem on a highway/ verge category anonymously at 16:49, Wednesday 3 June 2026

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14212540.

The middle section of The Grove Steps is a continuing problem with falling leaves creating hazardous walking conditions due to slippery slopes. Also, overgrown trees block the light from a streetlight at night and render steps invisible. Brambles and weeds are growing at this time of year and are growing across the steps causing a potential tripping hazard, as well as injuries from thick brambles. Last year I trimmed the brambles back and cleared the steps myself three times, but as a 73 year old women I find it increasingly difficult and feel it is not really my job. However, the Steps were dangerous to myself and others.
