Bridge covered in ivy

I have reported this problem every year for the last couple of years,The bridge is s totally covered in ivy, a quick clip won't sort it, I have sat my children and grandchildren on the bridge to look in the water my husband also remembers doing the same as a child 60+years ago , The ivy must be damaging it and no one cares ...There's also a block been knocked off the one end
