Check out the oak tree on the verge

Reported via desktop in the Tree/ grass/ shrub problem on a highway/ verge category anonymously at 10:18, Wednesday 29 April 2026

Sent to Shropshire Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 14209601.

This oak tree has recently had remedial work. It is at an angle (and would fall into the road if it fell). It is not particularly supported at the base of the trunk, it's at an angle, some of the branches look like they could fall if it was windy. I love trees, but I think this one is going to crush someone's car in the next 20 years or so...or maybe next time it rains/is windy. Can you check it out. Some of the other trees on the Annscroft road verge running through the village also could do with thinning/maintenance as they are too close together to be healthy.
