Two large potholes in the main road

Reported via mobile in the Pothole in a road category anonymously at 21:16, Saturday 11 April 2026

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14208066.

These two potholes (northbound carriageway in front of the row of houses just past the Vicarage Lane turnoff) have been in the road for at least two weeks (and possibly longer). They have been spray painted round for all of this time so the council are obviously already aware of them yet they have still not been fixed. This is a 60mph stretch of road meaning cars are hitting them hard and fast, and as there are two (tyres width apart) then you cannot avoid them (if you do manage to see them). There are multiple other potholes on this stretch of road which are dangerous and damaging to cars given the speed of the road and it's only a matter of time before there is an accident because of them.

Re. these particular potholes, I hit one of them recently at speed which created a bulge in my tyre which I will be claiming for.
