Deterioration of footpath

After excessive rain the footpath from Ashfields Road, between Ellesmere Road and the beaver boardwalk (Rough Lane) becomes a quagmire. People use this as a shortcut to Ellesmere Road into town and, increasingly, to the new beaver boardwalk, often groups of schoolchildren. The mud makes it difficult to use. It needs, probably, a load of chippings to make it easier to use
