This wall-mounted street lamp is still not working. Originally reported October 2025 and still not working 5 months later. Please get this fixed urgently as a matter of safety,

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14204519.

Lamp now out of commission for at least 5 months. If no spares are available for this old fashioned lamp then consider replacing with a completely new modern fitting that will be maintainable within a reasonable time frame for the future. I am extremely nervous walking through this area at night due to the lack of illumination.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
