Rutted and potholed 20 metre stretch

Reported via mobile in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 11:01, Tuesday 3 March 2026

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14203884.

This surface degradation of approx 20m appeared in December and has now been rutted by daily traffic and heavy machinery. Traffic avoiding it has worn away the soft verge on the golf course side making it difficult to avoid for cyclists and pedestrians. Stanley Lane is on a National Cycle Route so is very popular with cyclists, Bridgnorth Golf Club attracts a lot of daily traffic both cars and walkers and the lane in many places now is presenting real issues for pedestrians and road users alike.
