Mulitiple Potholes

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14201226.

Multiple potholes have appeared some as big as 1 metre length and 20 cms wide including one in the middle of the lane. They are currently filled with rain water but access to houses is now severely affected with potential damage to vehicles.

  • Thank you for your update message dated 19 March 2026. Unfortunately, since my initial report to you in February 2026 and your response of scheduling of work the situation on the lane has got much worse. The original potholes have got larger, particularly one specific one directly opposite to the Cae Hengoed (SY10 7FB) entrance which restricts access to the houses now, with the previous edges, and number, of the potholes suffering from expansion and the depth of the potholes can now be seen due to the rainwater draining away.

  • Thank you for your "update". The work team are still here at the time of writing this so "fixed" marker maybe a bit premature. Are you going to despatch an inspector to review the fix as has been reported in the press?? I would suggest that the "fixed" marker should be conditional until the repairs are inspected.
