Height of the hedges on Stanton Road
Reported via desktop in the Hedge overgrowing the road or pavement category anonymously at 09:30, Tuesday 17 February 2026
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14201211.
Residents at Springwood who live on the ground floor are telling the scheme management that the hedges have grown in the last 3 x years and there is not enough light getting into their properties. The hedges have not been cut for over 2 x years and they are wondering if there are any plans to cut them soon and if there is a planned schedule

Good afternoon
I have asked our legal team to check with the land registry. They have advised that the hedge falls within a land boundary that is unregistered. Also that the hedge abuts a public highway therefore we would assume that this is you have responsibility for the upkeep of this hedge from a safety aspect
Kind regards John Barber
