Poor railings and slippery mud

This area is incredibly dangerous, I visited here with my two young grandchildren and nearly fell in the river. I slipped on the mud on the path and faceplanted the railing. The railings further on have 3 rails, as these only have 2. I feel this needs to be reviewed. Also there is no life ring around, so my daughter couldn’t have helped me if I had fell in the river.
