Water standing across highway adjacent to two blocked drains

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14199800.

The two drains in the roadside verge are blocked BELOW the drain cover and water has been standing on the road for days(? out flow from adjacent manhole or in to river obstructed). I have cleared the debris from the drain but the water does not flow away. The drains lie between Ford Cottage and Twas the Bungalow, Beambridge Road, Clunbury.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
