Road covered in mud - previous call closed as fixed when it isn't

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14199779.

Works at Plas Cerrig covering road with mud. Reported since December, nothing done.

Council placed a 'mud on road' sign and then the call is marked as 'work complete'. This is presumably an error as obviously the work is not complete.

Action required: 1) enforcement action on Plas Cerrig to clear mud from road 2) monitor they have done it 3) if they do not do it within 2 days, escalate using your enforcement powers.

Do not close call without action. Please check for any other calls closed when not done as this does seem to happen a lot.

  • Ignored apart from dumping a mud on road sign. Culprits need to be forced to clean up.

  • The responsibility for this lies with a third party. We have reported this to them, explained the necessary action and will monitor.

  • Thanks for update. 'third party' are doing nothing because they know there is no enforcement. They just wait for rain and their mud blocks the drains. Please enforce their duty to keep the road clear.

    Also reminder of your duty to sweep this road which has not been done in years.
