Poor excuse for a lane!

Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 15:58, Monday 9 February 2026

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14199509.

This lane has been in a bad state of repair for over 18 months. Looks like a track doesn't it! Even some recently filled potholes, a fraction of what is needed, are a pathetic attempt at patching the road together and there still remains large potholes everywhere. The amount traffic on this lane should be taken into account : 1. It carries several huge, heavy lorries on a daily basis to the farms, which it obviously isn't capable of dealing with. 2. It is one of the main diversions for when the bypass is closed. It's like playing pinball driving down this lane. Having to weave and dodge all of the potholes, of which there are MANY, from the start of the old A5 lane to the farms at the top of the road. It may not be in town and it may be a small lane which does not fall into your category for attention but it's a mess, dangerous and damages vehicles. Considering it takes so much traffic for a small lane it really needs the whole stretch re-tarmacking and not patched up here and there. Please get it sorted.
