Debris on footpath

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14198510.

There is a large amount of debris on the path from Great Ness towards the old A5, ( the road to Nesscliffe). This consists of mud, hedge cuttings, stones and sticks. This is from a combination of the bank slipping, build up over many years of debris and some material from the roadside curb. The path is completely covered in places and very slippery, in some areas people have to walk on the road due to this.

  • We have looked into this issue and can advise that the work required will be picked up as part of routine maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    We will continue to undertake routine inspections in the meantime, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action. This report will now be closed.
