Numerous potholes and tarmac debris across the road

Reported via desktop in the Pothole in a road category anonymously at 12:44, Monday 26 January 2026

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14196345.

There are around a dozen deep and dangerous potholes now along this section of road, all around failed 'repairs' (previously complained about due to their poor quality). The road surface is further compromised as debris from the ever-growing holes is now spread across the highway. This morning I counted at least six traffic cones placed in various holes. Please can this section of road be fixed properly.

  • Thank you for filling in some of the holes, however, there are others that have not been touched and are easily as bad as the ones that have been 'repaired'. The quality of the job is inconsistent with many of the tarmac blobs not flattened properly or sealed. They are in sight of the holes not filled. None of the debris caused by the holes has been swept away. Even if the gang doesn't have a whacker to flatten the tarmac, surely they have a brush. Woeful, I'm afraid.

  • Please increase the urgency of this repair rather than continually replacing damaged cones - using the road this morning was a roulette of Pothole or Puddle.
