Potholes needing attention

Reported via desktop in the Pothole in a road category by Llewelyn Pugh at 21:29, Tuesday 20 January 2026

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14195393.

I refer to report ref 14193468 which I reported on 10 Jan 2026. Thanks for your response indicating the problem is now fixed and closed. However, I cannot believe that repairs can be done and other issues yards away are totally ignored - surely you don't want me to report each individual pothole separately as you will be inundated! Common sense must prevail and any further issues noticed when carrying out repairs then they should be attended to so to avoid repeat visits to the same site/area. I would respectfully request you inspect the whole stretch from Red House Lane to the junction of Stoney Road/Gibraltar Lane and repair ALL potholes and areas of rough road surface and attend to them appropriately. Please report to me when complete. Thanks.

PS. How no one is appointed to inspect stretches of roads to identify these issues beggars belief as SCC know full well that the state of the roads is atrocious and repairs are not always properly done and workmen are re-visiting the same sites over again. Surely a methodical approach would prove a better way of addressing the problems by doing designated stretches one at a time rather than in this haphazard way. I often see workmen patching one or two potholes then they return a few days later to repair other potholes nearby. Where is the sense in that? Thanks for reading.
