At approximately 5:45pm on Monday 19 January 2026, while driving at normal speed and in wet, dark conditions, I struck a substantial pothole in the carriageway. The impact was significant and resulted in the immediate failure of two tyres. I was forced to limp the vehicle to Albrighton Cricket Club car park to get safely off the road. The condition of the road in this area is extremely poor, and the pothole in question clearly presents a serious hazard to motorists. I have already incurred repair costs of £260.98 for tyre replacement. At this stage, wheel damage has not yet been ruled out. Given the state of the carriageway and the extent of the damage caused, I am extremely frustrated that this defect had not been addressed prior to my incident. I would appreciate confirmation of: • Receipt of this notification • The reference number for this claim • Details of your inspection and maintenance records for this section of road Please advise of the next steps in progressing this claim.
