Gate issue

The gate is closing very fast which is causing a very loud bang, causing issues at night, everytime it is used it’s always banging . I have witnessed the elderly with walking aids struggling and with wheelchairs as it is quite a heavy gate too. This has been Like this for around 6 weeks. There is nothing on the metal part of the gate post to stop the banging when it’s closing . This is the street gate at the end of Blackmore grove leading through the old little play area .
