Sensors do not sense cyclists

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14193539.

The sensors do not pick up cyclists. This can often leave a cyclist in the middle of the road waiting to turn when the lights change.

  • These lights have apparently been checked. Nothing has changed. I can sit waiting at the lights on my bike and absolutely nothing is on the A53. They only change if a car approaches from the Wem Road side of the lights. When on the A53 and turning right to go up Wem Road there is often no right turn arrow to allow me to cross if there are no more cars behind me. As a cyclist this leaves me in the middle of the road and vulnerable to the traffic.
