Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14193266.
From the top of the lane to the bottom we have 24 pot holes some in excess of 10 inches I can no longer drive my car the length of lane safely Our neighbours have 4 children under 9 if the road freezes it’s treacherous the car could end up in the lake It’s been reported numerous times the last inspector said it was a cat 5 in terrible condition why should we both pay our rates when nothing is done will it take a death for you to act failure to respond I will seek legal action

The issue you reported has been assessed and added to our list of roads of engineering concern. This means more extensive work is required than simple spot repairs. It will be considered for work as part of a larger scheme of road maintenance as funding allows.
Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious issues. The list is not completed on a first come first served basis but based upon several risk and resource factors. A site's priority on the list changes regularly. Factors include weather related emergency work or awaiting the optimal time of year to complete works.
Due to limited and changing resources we are unable to provide an exact timescale. Often this can be months to years.
We will continue to undertake routine inspections in the meantime, whereby notifiable safety issues are recorded and scheduled for action in the interim.
