Filthy streets

Reported via desktop in the Litter category anonymously at 14:23, Thursday 8 January 2026 ; (there is no pin shown as the user did not use the map)

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14193003.

After a short walk around Whitchurch (see highlighted areas) the amount of litter (and dirt in general) is astounding for a small Market town. Wrexham road is also covered in loose gravel all the way down to Highgate (and mud/leaves against kerbs and blocking road gullies); Highgate/Rosemary lane/Watergate street (disgusting), Bark Hill/ Mill street/ Castle Hill/Sherrymill are all terrible. Road gullies blocked all over town, pubs that do not have adequate outside bins for cigarette ends that therefore just end up on the pavement/street, wheelie bins left overflowing on pavements etc etc. Perhaps we need more than one street cleaner to do the various areas? The town is rapidly becoming a slum town.
