Blocked gully outside drive of Mayfield causing road flooding

The gullies in Ash have not been cleaned for well over a year. The cleanliness of this gully, being the lowest in the village, is critical to avoid road flooding and flooding of properties. At the moment it is full of silt with the consequence that rainwater is not draining away.

  • We have looked into this issue and can advise that the work required will be picked up as part of routine maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    We will continue to undertake routine inspections in the meantime, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action. This report will now be closed.
