Road Surface Disintegrating - Not Fit for Purpose
Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category by Stuart Hay at 10:50, Wed 10 December 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14190231.
Numerous people have reported that the "anti-skid" surface on the approach to and from the road over the railway bridge is in total disrepair. As many have added, to avoid the ruts, many drivers drive over the white lines to avoid them. Inevitably, there'll be a collision one day due these defects.
As with many of the roads in this area, they have been badly maintained over the years. This particular stretch of road has been botched numerous times, costing the taxpayer £thousands each time.
It's about time that the council repaired the roads properly. This stretch of road needs to be completely ripped up and totally resurfaced.
