The road surface on the b4380 at atcham outside the Mytton & Mermaid pub is severely disintegrating.

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14189748.

This has been reported several times. It has been in this condition now for over 12 months. It is dangerous for all motorists but particularly for motorcyclists and scooters. When are you actually going to get it repaired. As I have now reported it on 5th December 2025, I can now make a claim against the council if I have an accident and it is attributed to the road surface. Please repair this as soon as is possible. This is a busy road used by a lot of traffic. Thank you in advance.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
