Endemic problem of HGS parking on and damaging pavements

Reported via desktop in the Other highways issue category anonymously at 13:40, Wednesday 3 December 2025

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14189636.

Here we have a problem with HGV drivers thinking its ok to park on the pavement, blocking its use by pedestrians. Moreover, the heavy vehicles are causing damage to the kerbs, which is evident in the photograph, where the kerbs have sagged.

This falls well below the standard expected of a contractor (Veolia) to Shropshire Council, no less!

Earlier today I saw a visually impaired person walking in this area with their white cane. This setup would be very hazardous to them.
