Street lamp not in service
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14189205.
New Street light fitted, power supplied but never connected to the network/never commissioned. This has been reported previously but an email arrived to me saying that as the installer has not commissioned it, it doesn't appear on the council register (it has no number) so nothing can be done because it doesn't exist on the data base. It's been in a couple of years now and is needed. I wonder if someone with more contacts than me could look into it, maybe raise an enquiry with the electric company. The lamp is directly outside 115 Longslow Road TF9 3BN. Many thanks.

No progress on site. No correspondence to say progressing or closed or anything since original report. Grateful if this could be followed up please.

The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.
Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.
In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.

This problem was reported as being fixed via email update received on 6th September. The problem is unchanged from the original report of 27th Nov '25. No progress has been observed and the lamp is still out of service.
