Sunk trench across road
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14188957.
When cars pass over this trench noise is made enough to wake one at night. When larger vehicles go over the noise is horrendous

The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.

We spoke to a traffic engineer on site in December who marked out the trench and assured us that it would be fixed during a road closure along with other works on the road the week before Christmas. We were away that week but on are return we saw that other works had been done but not the trench. I have since discovered that this highway fault was reported some two years ago by another Plealy resident but no action was taken over this complaint. Could you please inform me as to any action you intend to take.
