Defective road markings
Reported via desktop in the Non-illuminated sign missing/ defective category anonymously at 15:22, Sat 15 November 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14188309.
More than 1yr ago, when a large pothole was repaired, the white SLOW sign on the road was tarmacked over, leaving on the letter S visible. It is a dangerous part of the road, with entrances to three properties and two public footpaths joining the road, but not easily visible. The painted signs first need to be repainted, the central white line also refreshed and, ideally, signage installed to warn traffic that vehicles and/or pedestrians may be joining the road.

It is approx 6 months since this problem was reported to you and you responded with a promise that arrangements had been made to undertake the work required. This has not yet been done. As pot-holes will be repaired on Broome Road later this month, including one not 100m from the defective road sign, could arrangements be made for the painting to be done at the same time? Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
