These drains appear to be blocked and require clearing, in order to prevent flooding of the adjacent road, tennis courts and car park following heavy rainfall

  • As well as the drains themselves being blocked, more importantly the pipe which runs from the drains into Coundmoor Brook is full of roots and needs to be replaced. Also, where the pipe enters the brook is too low, meaning that it backs up when the Brook is at a high level.

    I have a video which shows the water missing the drains and flowing into the car park, causing the tennis courts to flood and costing thousands of pounds in damage each time. More information can be supplied by email.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
