Barrier restrictions

Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian barrier issue category by Parish Council at 09:36, Thursday 9 October 2025

Sent to Shropshire Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 14186088.

These barriers are preventing people using mobility aids from accessing the dropped kerb. There were no notices issued. Only a road closure up the High St by Severn Trent. Able-bodied Pedestrians are crossing at this point but either side of the barrier in a dangerous point on the open highways, however, mobility aid users are having to turn afround and go back home without their shopping because they cannot cross the road. Why is the crossing inaccessible please? And why was there no notice of its closure? And no alternative safe drop kerb route provided?
