Standing Water Outside Shops
Reported via mobile in the Standing water on the highway category anonymously at 14:49, Tue 7 October 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14185979.
I am writing to report a recurring issue with standing water outside Grange Mini Mart and Crumbs Desserts, located on Grafton Mews, Shrewsbury.
Following rainfall, a significant amount of water collects and remains pooled along the kerb in front of the shop entrances, as shown in the attached photo. The area does not appear to drain properly, causing persistent surface water that poses a slip hazard for pedestrians and inconvenience for customers accessing the shops.
This issue seems to be due to poor surface levelling or blocked drainage, as the water does not disperse even hours after rain. We kindly request that the council inspects the site and takes appropriate action to improve the drainage in this area.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
