Poor quality repairs

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14185759.

Potholes along this road have been filled in with daubs of lumpy tarmac, they've not even been flattened by a machine, exchanging one type of hazard for another. Can someone please revisit and order an actual repair of the road surface. Thank you. Your recent Facebook post claimed road repairs were 'high quality'. The evidence on this road begs to differ. I'm at a loss to understand how work of such a woeful standard can be signed off as acceptable. The focus on potholes is appreciated but it is frustrating to see that good intention undermined by such shoddy work.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
