Road sinking

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14185233.

I am adding my concerns to those of the numerous others who have already reported this issue. It is completely unacceptable. Perhaps you could write to all local residents confirming that you will accept liability for all vehicle damage caused as a result of your lack of action until you carry out proper remedial work (not the usual cheap and cheerful botch job). I hope those who have already suffered vehicle damage have made (and had accepted) claims, and urge others who suffer damage going forward to also make claims.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
