Flood in cul de sac road encroaching on driveways and homes

Reported via mobile in the Flood category anonymously at 13:06, Thu 4 September 2025

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14183968.

This has been an ongoing problem for the past year. It never used to happen. The drain on the road is struggling to cope with any sort of rain fall let alone massive downpours that we have been having. I know they are suppose to drain slowly when the rain has stopped however the drain isnt draining the water at all so the area becomes flooded straight away and proceeds to gets worse as the rain continues. Flooding over pavements which makes it impossible to cross and into driveways and up to the homes. There is a risk of flooding to people's homes in the area. Please can someone come and take a thorough look at the drain and the pipe work as there must be a blockage or damage as this never use to happen. Thanks

  • Hello, could I please have an update on when the work is scheduled for? Residents are understandably worried about flooding to their home and vehicals. Especially with the weather taking a turn more frequently now. Thanks
