Pathway flooded
Reported via mobile in the Pavement surface issue category anonymously at 20:02, Wed 3 September 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14183920.
The public right of way is flooded due to water diversion made on the adjacent field which makes Love Lane almost impassable. This is a severe trip hazard now as members of the public have placed wood over the affected area making it dangerous to people walking this route

This public pathway is now in a worse state than when I reported it, with more water and wooden debris scattered. Having spoken to a fellow walker, they commented that the route cause was down to the owner of the adjoining land having made their own change to drain off water the field which now floods the pathway for the public. Please can you provide a reply as I will escalate to Helen Morgan MP directly.

Still no reply. How can the council allow alterations happen which has a detrimental effect on a public right of way and simply sit back and do nothing. This shows how incompetent the department involved is, understanding this has been reported by many people for months and no action has been taken. Shameful.

Whilst you have replied and it’s a month on, no attempt has been made to begin work and seasonal changes imminent, this will make the pathway treacherous for the public to walk. This was originally reported over a year ago, so will it be another year before work finally gets the go ahead? Meanwhile those responsible (it’s clear who made the changes for the water diversion) for causing this situation have got away without any consequences from the council. Unbelievable
