Dozens of potholes from Quilmore to Cwm Hall
Reported via desktop in the Pothole in a road category anonymously at 13:55, Tuesday 12 August 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14182611.
Too many to photograph them all but the holes are getting worse. Roadworkers came last week and filled in a few from Quilmore up the hill towards Llandevy turn off but didn't fill them all in. Nothing done from us to Cwm Hall, which is really bad. Holes have been marked with chalk paint but these markings are wearing away with traffic and weathering. Damging to cars using this lane.

The work has NOT been completed. ONE pot hole has been filled in! You send a team all the way up to us and they only fill in one hole! There are 19 potholes between the gate at Quilmore and the hole that has been filled, just before the lane dips down towards Cwm Hall!! 5 of which are pothole trenches of several feet long. Why come all the way out to fill ONE pothole? What a waste of manpower and at our (the taxpayers) expense. It's poor management. All the potholes have white chalk marking the edges, some a little weathered away but still visible. There are several more potholes and trenches developing and as the weather moves into Autumn, these will only become deeper and more damaging to vehicles. Please, will somebody come and look along the entire stretch and bring enough material to fill all the holes in one go. My photo shows how deep these holes are and is an example of one of the 19 others that have been repeatedly reported. Thank you.
