Potholes appearing yet again

Despite being badly repaired on 25 April 2025, the road surface outside Plealey Farm is starting to disintegrate again. Potholes are appearing once again.

Our local MP, Julia Buckley, has written to the council re the ongoing issues that I've reported on many occasions with the road surface between Annscroft and Plealey. Its obvious that the MP's letter has been ignored. I shall be updating her accordingly.

The stretch of road outside Plealey Farm needs to be ripped up and completely resurfaced. If this is done, expensive pothole repairs shouldn't be necessary.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
