Overlarge and leaning trees
Reported via desktop in the Encroachment of the highways by trees or shrubs category anonymously at 11:49, Tuesday 15 July 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14180771.
The trees on the verge along the side of the highway have grown to such a hight that they regularly cause problems with overhead cables, are now concerning large and leaning towards my property as well as now being of a size that they are preventing light getting to my property which is causing dampness on brickwork and possible damage. Additionally the trees are covered in ivy giving cause for concern to their health and stability in the longer term.

The trees growing on the road verge that runs alongside our property and are of such a size now that as well as increasingly taking light away from my property, causing dampness, they are also causing concern regarding potential damage should they fall, especially as they are also covered in ivy. Alongside this the trees also interfere with overhead wires.
