Thios pothole is on the left hand side of the road on Haywood Lane towards Market Drayton. It ios a deep pothole approx 15 inches by 10 inches.

On Thursday 9th July I was driving my car towards Market Drayton from Cheswardine. At the point where the pothole is, another vehicle was approaching from the opposite direction which meant I could not take evasive action to miss the pothole. As a result there was a mighty bang as I passed over the pothole and I came to a stop. On looking at my car tyre it was completely destroyed and I was not able to continue my journey. I have photographs of the damage to the tyre and partial removal of the black paint on the alloy wheel. As a result I am having to have a new tyre fitted at a cost of £330 and re alloy of the wheel at a cost of £80, Total cost pof to repair damage due to hitting the pothole is £410, which I would like to claim for please. As I said I have photos but it seems I cannot add via the entry, Regards Ian Broadhurst
