Collapsed drain on Ellesmere Road opposite 10 Pitchford Road is causing severe vibrations to nearby homes.

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14180347.

The drain at the side of Ellesmere Road nearest to 10 Pitchford Road has collapsed and causes a loud thump with serious vibration to nearby homes every time a lorry goes over it, which is frequently as the carriageway is narrow. Difficult to avoid in a car and impossible in an HGV.

  • It is now more than three months since I reported this very disruptive collapsed drain, which causes a great deal of vibration whenever a lorry or van passes over it. I would appreciate a reply on when this will be fixed. The road is narrow at this point and many vehicles cannot avoid the drain cover, it should be fixed as a priority. Please can whoever reads my report contact your line manager to ask why it has not been progressed. Cllr Ben Jephcott.
