2 Poo Bins Needed

Reported via desktop in the Litter bin problem category anonymously at 09:40, Mon 7 July 2025

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14180318.

There are no designated poo bins in the village and residents have requested 2 be added to avoid littering. There is 1 x general waste bin outside the Church that gets filled really quickly with dog poo bags (along with general waste). Please can a poo bin be added to the verge in front of the Holy Trinity Church and another one on the main road by the bus shelter (by the old school).

  • Dear SC, An update on the issue requested above. 1) The SC lady has placed a pin on Church Lane outside Holy Trinity Church for Poo Bin 1. However, this should have been pinned on the verge on Bicton Lane by the gate to Little Wood W3W locus admiringly.soggy.extra 2) I did say to site the second bin by the bus stop on Holyhead Road near the old school but, on reflection, this should perhaps be sited outside Bicton Village Hall on the verge adjacent to the old telephone kiosk on either side of it W3W locus points are strutting.alerting.surprises or gazette.carbonate.shorten 3) There is no general waste bin outside the church - there is a bin is outside the village hall however the bin belongs to the village hall and is emptied by a private waste collection service (ASHWaste) who have now stipulated that there cannot be any dog waste in the collection. Historically, this has been the bin that village residents use so now there is no bin in the village other than one general waste bin next to the bus stop on the main road which is emptied by SC. Thank you Sally Maddox Bicton Parish Councillor
