Road collapsing a SINKHOLE is forming
Reported via mobile in the Other highways issue category by Alyson Davenport WHITE at 09:15, Sat 5 July 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14180205.
A sinkhole is forming in the road. The road surface is cracked and not broken like a pothole the whole structure of the road is collapsing downwards. The hole has trebled in depth from 3 inches to almost 9inches over the last 10 days. The area is increasing daily. Not only is it a danger to car suspension it is not visible like a pothole and is a danger to pedestrians. I am concerned if it collapses as a sinkhole, it will damage a car, the structure of my property or worse. This is not a regular pothole and needs URGENT review before someone breaks a leg or worse as described. PLEASE could you respond Urgently This was first noticed two weeks ago as a small.dwpreaaiin in the road surface and is increasing daily. Thank you for your prompt attention Alyson
