Pathway obstruction
Reported via mobile in the Tree/ grass/ shrub problem on a highway/ verge category anonymously at 10:04, Wed 18 June 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14179231.
This pathway is narrow and has been overgrown for a number of weeks. The road has a National speed limit and it’s dangerous for pedestrians to walk to Baschurch with back to traffic. It’s bad enough facing the traffic but at least you can see it coming.

Yes I’m aware that you allowed one of the local farmers to trim the hedge and the weeds (despite the ban on cutting hedges due to nesting birds) to save you a job. Going forward can you give some assurance that this pathway will be maintained. There has been several near misses between pedestrians and vehicles along that road. The footpath is narrow as it is. Thank you.

To maintain a public footpath along side a busy road in Shropshire is not the highways responsibility?? Please could you advise whose responsibility it is then please. Having taken the initial credit for sorting out my initial issue I thought it may have been.
