Drain cover recessed far too deep right outside of property!

I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding the condition of the road surface on the B4396 going through Osbaston. While the road has been resurfaced multiple times, the drain covers have not been raised to be level with the new road surface. As a result, they now sit significantly below the road level.
This presents a clear danger to road users, especially as this is a derestricted road where vehicles travel at higher speeds. Hitting these sunken covers can cause severe damage to vehicle wheels and suspension systems, increasing the risk of accidents.
Additionally, the road is frequently used by heavy animal feed trucks, particularly during nighttime hours. When these vehicles strike the sunken covers, it creates a loud and disruptive noise, causing considerable disturbance to nearby residents.
I urge you to investigate this issue as a matter of urgency and take the necessary steps to bring the drain covers level with the road surface to ensure both safety and community well-being.
