Nuisance /illegal parking

Location is small cul-de-sac of bungalows for elderly/disabled persons in the village of Stanton upon Hine Heath. Residents from elsewhere in the village are parking there, usually partially on the footpath. The cul-de-sac is narrow anyway, and these vehicles are causing access problems for residents, visiting carers, and it would be difficult for a fire appliance to reach the end of the cul-de-sac. Recently a resident was told that he could not have a delivery of oil as the tanker driver was reluctant to try to squeeze past the parked cars. This has been ongoing since November of last year. The Police have been informed but have said residents should contact Highways at Shropshire County Council to request the provision of double yellow lines - Police would then be able to deal with any contravention of the lines.
