Blocked Drains

Three drains on Borle mill are full of silt and debris.

Regular occurence, the drains get full of debris, overflow down the lane causing issues washing away road surface and problems for users of the lane in heavy rain. They need clearing regularly. The council records fo these drains are incorrect, one chap refused to clear one of them last year claiming it didn't exist because the tablet he was carrying said it didn't exist, despite standing next to it with him at the time!

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
